About Anna Weatherley

Hand-painted porcelain has a long tradition in Hungary going back almost two centuries. The artisans in Anna Weatherley’s studio are trained in the classical painting tradition, and each piece is considered a work of art.

Her designs are inspired by early botanical illustrators and flower painters of 18th-century Europe such as Redoute, Hooker, and Ehret, along with Dutch still-life paintings. The colors are carefully applied with fine brushes in many shadings and fired several times, producing detailed renderings of flowers, fruits, butterflies, and bugs on fine white porcelain.

While rooted in history, Anna Weatherley’s designs are equally at home in contemporary or traditional settings and are sold in fine specialty shops and decorator studios throughout the United States.
