Design and production

Perfection lies in the details

The Jewel Collection is made using traditional methods, that is, exclusively by hand. To start, the glassmakers blow out the molten glass into the desired shape. Then the cutters create 12 small, decorative edges that reflect the light and mirror both the beverage and the world around them. Finally, the painters apply a band of 24-karat gold. The gold needs to be polished by hand. The moment their work is done, a jewel is born.

Designer

Petr Larva

Petr Larva is a designer, glass artist and the Art Director of Moser glassworks. He studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the glass studio of Vladimir Kopecky. He is the holder of a number of international awards. Larva sees glass as a medium that carries meaning, feeling and atmosphere. His works are a part of several museum collections and can even be found in presidential offices in Europe and the US.
