Flora Danica by Royal Copenhagen is the world's most prestigious porcelain service, in continuous production since 1790, when it was commissioned by King Christian VII as a gift for Catherine the Great of Russia. Every piece is formed, carved, and painted entirely by hand after the original 18th-century Flora Danica botanical encyclopedia and finished in 24-karat gold.
