Cyrnos Candle by Trudon
A villa with a view above Roquebrune, its garden thick with fig trees and parasol pines. Cyrnos captures the easy, sunlit life of the early-20th-century Riviera — where queens, poets, and artists gathered in the shade — carried on air scented with lavender and the dry aromatics of Provence.
Founded in 1643, Trudon is the oldest candle maker in the world, once supplying the court of Louis XIV. Each candle is hand-poured at the Trudon workshop in Normandy, France, in a glass vessel mouth-blown in Tuscany and inspired by the shape of a champagne bucket.

Candle Anatomy
- The Wax: Trudon's wax formulas are the fruit of specific developments and the source of its exceptional olfactory and burning qualities. Properly cared for, a Trudon candle leaves no smoke and no wax on the sides of the glass.
- The Wick: Made of cotton, chosen to suit the shape and size of each glass and the burning characteristics of each candle.
- The Glass: Each glass is unique and hand-crafted in Tuscany, its shape inspired by champagne buckets.
- The Emblem: Inspired by a bas relief found at the old Royal Wax Manufacture that once belonged to the Trudon family.
Care
On first use, allow the wax to melt fully across the surface — roughly two hours — to prevent tunneling. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each lighting, and never burn for more than two hours at a time.
